Il progetto per la Casa S prevede il disegno degli ambienti e degli arredi interni dell’intera abitazione unifamiliare di circa 100 mq. L’abitazione è preesistente all’intervento proposto e non trattandosi di una ristrutturazione, gli interventi di demolizione e ricostruzione sono limitati ad alcuni elementi puntuali. L’accesso avviene da una scalinata esterna che porta al piano primo, dove si sviluppa l’intera abitazione. Si individuano due macro ambienti: la zona giorno con un ampio openspace e un bagno, e la zona notte con due camere e un secondo bagno. I percorsi sono lineari e definiti, dall’ingresso in tutto l’openspace e verso zona notte.
Per il design dei due bagni si è scelta una moodboard dai colori marini per il bagno della zona giorno (grès effetto marmo verde acqua, pitture azzurre e beiges, sanitari bianchi) e più neutro ed elegante in quello della zona notte (marmo bianco e nero a contrasto, mobili tortora o beige, sanitari bianchi).
Per la zona giorno si è optato per il mantenimento dell’openspace, con la suddivisione delle tre funzioni (ingresso, living, pranzo/cucina) mediante arredi ed elementi filtro divisori. La zona ingresso viene schermata inserendo una parete divisoria adiacente con la zona living che dal lato ingresso è attrezzata per contenere un mobile alto, una seduta e una zona svuota tasche con specchio; dal lato living accoglie in nicchia il mobile tv. Il living è uno spazio quadrato, regolare e ben illuminato dalla grande vetrata ad ovest. L’area pranzo/cucina occupa buona parte dell’openspace, come da richiesta dei clienti: l’area cottura, sul lato opposto della stanza, è un ampio spazio a L con penisola, fuochi e lavello sotto finestra; tra il living e la zona cottura si inserisce il tavolo da pranzo. I colori della zona giorno sono neutri ed equilibrati, in armonia con il legno del pavimento e le travi del soffitto. I toni sono quelli del bianco, beige e grigio, con alcune note rosate e dorate.
La zona notte si articola lungo il secondo corridoio dove si aprono la cameretta, il secondo bagno e la camera matrimoniale con balcone. La camera matrimoniale, presentando uno schema delle aperture non esattamente comodissimo, deve utilizzare l’unica parete libera per disporvi l’armadio e le altre due mezze pareti per il letto e l’area beauty. I toni sono in armonia con il resto della casa, caldi nei mobili e rilassanti e luminosi nelle pitture delle pareti e nei tessuti.
Lo scopo del progetto è stato quello di rendere gli spazi armoniosi, luminosi e rilassanti. La suddivisione in “aree” funzionali ha permesso di sfruttare al meglio lo spazio e dare carattere e valore ad ogni elemento.

Interiors and furniture of a family house.

The project for Casa S involves designing the interior spaces and furnishings of the entire single-family house, approximately 100 square meters in size. The house is pre-existing, and the proposed intervention does not involve extensive demolition and reconstruction, limited only to specific elements. Access is provided by an external staircase leading to the first floor, where the entire house is located. Two main areas are identified: the living area with a large open space and a bathroom, and the sleeping area with two bedrooms and a second bathroom. The paths are linear and well-defined, leading from the entrance through the entire open space and towards the sleeping area.
For the design of the two bathrooms, a mood board with marine colors has been chosen for the living area bathroom (aquamarine marble-effect porcelain tiles, blue and beige paints, white sanitary fixtures), while the sleeping area bathroom is designed to be more neutral and elegant (contrasting white and black marble, dove or beige-colored furniture, white sanitary fixtures).
In the living area, it was decided to maintain the open space layout while dividing the three functions (entrance, living room, dining/kitchen area) using furniture and filter divider elements. The entrance area is screened by an adjacent partition wall, equipped on the entrance side with a tall storage unit, a seating area, and a catch-all space with a mirror; on the living room side, it accommodates a TV unit in a niche. The living room is a square, well-lit space with a large window to the west. The dining/kitchen area occupies a substantial portion of the open space, as per the clients’ request. The kitchen area, on the opposite side of the room, is a spacious L-shaped space with a peninsula, cooking area, and sink under the window. The dining table is placed between the living area and the kitchen. The colors in the living area are neutral and balanced, harmonizing with the wooden flooring and ceiling beams. The tones include white, beige, and gray, with some hints of pink and gold.
The sleeping area is arranged along the second corridor, where the children’s room, the second bathroom, and the master bedroom with a balcony are located. Due to the challenging arrangement of openings in the master bedroom, the only available wall is used for the wardrobe, while the other two half-walls are dedicated to the bed and the beauty area. The color scheme is in harmony with the rest of the house, with warm tones in the furniture and relaxing, bright colors on the walls and fabrics.
The purpose of the project was to create harmonious, bright, and relaxing spaces. The division into functional “areas” allowed for efficient use of space and provided character and value to each element.
